In addition, Central African Republic is following El Salvador's footsteps and has decided to accept Bitcoin as a legal tender. The request for Blockchain developers is growing around the world and Africa is no exception to this.
Ukraine now ranks second in the world for crypto use. Which other countries have embraced it?
A new study by Merchant Machine, a payment processing comparison website, has found that the US, Ukraine, and the UK are the top 3 countries for crypto use worldwide. The ongoing war in Ukraine has definitely increased the adoption, but it was already on the TOP 10 list before the war.
Carbon markets: Why digitization will be key to success
Carbon markets are used in many countries to reduce the carbon emissions. Lucas Belensky writes in his World Bank blog that digitizing the Monitoring, Reporting and Verification of the carbon reductions would make the current system more efficient. The blog post suggests tokenizing Carbon emissions with the Blockchain (as has already been done for example by Toucan protocol and KlimaDAO)
Report: $1.9 billion stolen in crypto hacks so far this year
CNN Business writes that 1.9 Billion USD has been stolen in hacks during the first seven months of this year. This is a huge increase of 60% from previous year. It quite likely goes hand in hand with the overall growth of cryptomarkets and the amount of new projects.
